Due to silicone oil emulsification and epiretinal membrane, during removal of silicone-membrane peeling and fluid-air-gas exchange surgery, delay in administration of the gas, depending on the hypotonia, multiple patchy retinal hemorrhages were observed to occur. Because of the gas supplied to the patient, it is not evaluated how the decompression retinopathy affected the postoperative visual acuity. Postoperative 1 and 3 week fundus examinations revealed regression of the retinal hemorrhage. It had completely resolved by the examination after 7 months.
