Visual acuity of her left eye was 0.9. The fundus examination revealed increased retinal artery tortuosity, marked congestion of retinal veins, and flame-shaped hemorrhages. Further laboratory evaluation yielded C677T methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase mutation. Thrombophilic risk factors should be assessed in children with venous stasis retinopathy.
