Numune Training and Research Hospital, Eye Clinic, Konya/TURKEY The medical treatment of diabetic retinopathy is basically the treatment of diabetes.İt has been revealed ,in many studies that effective control of the blood glucose levels delay the emergence and progression of diabetic retinopathy.Two interventional studies,carried on the progression of diabetic retinopathy showed a useful effect of the good controlling of the blood glucose level on both the type-1 and type-2 diabetics.
