Myopic Maculopathy

High myopia is a leading cause of visual loss, especially in younger populations, and a major cause of legal blindness in many developed countries. Choroidal neovascularization (CNV) due to pathologic myopia is a major condition that threatens the vision of people with myopia. This article describes the clinical characteristics and recent treatment strategies of CNV due to pathologic myopia.
