Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada Disease: Early Optical Coherence Tomographic Features Represent Acute Central Serous Chorioretinopathy
1M.D. Ulucanlar Eye Training nad Research Hospital, Ankara/TURKEY2M.D. Professor, Ulucanlar Eye Training nad Research Hospital, Ankara/TURKEY Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada (VKH) disease is a rare multisystem inflammatory autoimmune disorder usually characterized with bilateral granulomatous panuveitis and central nervous system, inner-ear and skin manifestations. Prominent serous retinal detachment with subretinal fibrous septa is the typical spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) feature of the VKH disease. However new-onset VKH disease and acute central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) share similar features on SD-OCT. We hereby report a patient with VKH disease and discuss differential diagnosis of new-onset VKH disease and acute central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) based on SD-OCT images.
