Central Retinal Vein Occlusion Associated With Varenicline

Retinal venous occlusive disease is the second most common retinal vascular disorder following diabetic retinopathy.The exact pathogenesis
and risk factors of RVO in younger patients?most of whom are otherwise healthy are still poorly understood. This case
report shows a varenicline (Champix, Pfizer, Mumbai, India)-associated acute thrombotic CRVO in a patient without previous history
of systemic inflammation or vascular occlusive disease.
