1Fırat Üniv. Tıp Fak. Ultrasonographic properties of rhegmatogenous, tractional and exudative retinal detachments are studied and accompanying patologies evaluated. Vitreal membrans, choroidal detachments, intraocular foreign bodies, retinoschisis, subretinal hemorrhagies and choroidal malign melanoma were the pathologic conditions which accompany some of the retinal detachments in our study. Retinal detachment is one of the leading causes of sight threatening eye disorders. Especially in eyes with somewhat opaque media, ultrasonography is a precious diagnostic method. In this study, we present retinal detachments of various causes and also some similar pathologic conditions with examples. Keywords : Retinal Detachment, Ultrasonography
