Postoperatively Electroretinographic Changes In Uncomplicated Rhegmatogenous Retinal Detachment
SSK Ankara Hast. 2. Göz Kliniği
We studied electroretinograms of 15 patients' both eyes who had undergone an operation for unilateral uncomplicated rhegmatogenous retinal detachment in the third month postoperatively and investigated the ERG differences between operated and healthy eyes. We concluded no evident difference between the ERGs of the healthy and the operated eyes of patients that have visual acuity 0.6 and more. But a clear reduction at (a) and (b) wave amplitudes in ERG of operated eyes of patients who have visual acuity 0.1-0.5 compared to their healthy eyes. These results also shown that (b) wave as an indicator of inner retinal layer function recover parelelly visual acuity after retinal reattachment surgery.
