3Gazi ÜTF Göz Hast. AD. Optic pit, is one of the rare congenital anomalies of the optic nerve head which, causes maculopathy in 25-75% of cases. Separation of inner layers of retina followed by detachment of outer layers causes visual impairment. In this case vision of the patient decreased to 1m finger counting due to serous macular detachment caused by optic nerve pit. A pars plana vitrectomy and gas fluid exchange were performed. 2nd postoperative week displacement of outer layers detachment to lower temporal region and improvement of vision to 0.7 was observed. After 3 months of follow up these findings did not change. Keywords : Intravitreal Gas Injection, Optic Nerve Pit, Serous Macular Detachment, Vitrectomy
