HLA Antigenes In Behçet's Disease
1SSK Okmeydanı Hast. Göz Kliniği2İstanbul Tıp Fak. Tıbbi Biyoloji AD. Behçet's disease has been believed to be an immunological disorder. Differences and correlations among frequencies of HLA antigenes in Behçet patients have been researched in this prospective study.HLA antigenes with subgroups have been evaluated under Terasaki two-step microlenfocyte cytotoxicity technique. The data of found antigenes and their relative risk values analysed by Chi-square test and Fisher's p formula. Relative risk (RR) values were 1,89 (p=0,03) for HLA-A 2, RR=2,69 (p<0,01) for A 24, RR= 15,35 (p=0,000) for A 25, RR=8,75 (p=0,000) for HLA-B 51 and RR=4,01 (p=0,000) for HLA-DR 11(5). Despite increase in above antigenes, frequency of A 11, A 28, B 44(12), B 13, B 35, DQW 1 and DR 7 antigenes were reduced. A 23, B 17, B 18 and B 52 antigenes was not found in our Behçet patients, in spite of found in control group. Till now, HLA-A 24 and A 25 antigens have not been emphasized in Behçet disease. So, as a new finding, we want to point the importance of this antigenes. Reducing of frequency of A 11, A 28, B 44(12), B 13, B 35, DQW 1 and DR 7 and finding none of some antigenes (A 23, B 17, B 18, B 5 2) show the need for more about this subject.
