Floresein And Indocyanine Green Video-Angiogrophic Properties Of Choroid Neovascularizations
İstanbul Ün. Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fak. Göz Hast AD.
Although intravenous fluorescein angiography is of great value the diagnosis of choroidal neovascularization (CNV) secondary to age- related macular degeneration, in the majority of cases the CNV is not well-delineated by this technique. We performed digital indocyanine-green videoangiography in addition to fluorescein angiography to 30 patients (32 eyes) with age related macular degeneration. Only 12% patients had well defined lesions on fluerescein angiography. On ICG videoangiographic examination in 25% of 32eyes with pigment epithelial detachments focal areas of neovascularization were noted in 6% eyes and larger areas of neovascularization in 12% eyes of 62% eyes with CNV without pigment epithelial detachment focal areas of neovascularization were noted in 25% and larger areas of neovascularization in 37% eyes.
