Choroidal tissue of 5 patients with serpiginous choroidopathy (SC) (3) and acute posterior multifocal placoid pigment epitheliopathy (APMPPE) (2) was examined trough indocyanine green angiography (ICG). In the early stages of the SC patients ICG, filling defects were found including large choroidal vessels. Extensive blockage areas connected one another showed ameboid pattern in the late stages. However, mild blockage which was seen in the early stages of ICG angiography of APMPE patients became more evident and the areas with definite margins not showing any connection one another were demonstrated in the late stages. We did not found any filling defect of large choroidal vessels in these areas.
