IMPLANTATION OF A POSTERIOR CHAMBER LENS WITH TRANSSCLERAL FIXATION TECHNIQUE WHICH DESCRIBED LEWIS in CASES WITHOUT CAPSULAR SUPPORT
Çukurova ÜTF Göz Hastalıkları ABD.
In this study, IOL implantation with trasscleral fixation described Lewis to to the 60 patient' s eye which of them 27 eyes had primar, 33 eyes had secondary implantation. In 43 cases, postoperative visual acuity increased. Postoperative visual acuity decreased in 8 cases, unchanged in 6 cases and was not evaluated in 3 cases whom ara noncooperative. It was seen transient corneal edema in 6, increase of IOP in 3, dislocation of IOL in 2, iridocyclitis in 3, hyphema and hemorrhage to the vitreous in 1, retraction of pupilla in 11 cases. Also one case result of break the fixation suture and IOL luxation to the vitreous while IOL implantation was seen retinal detachment. With these technique that made easily to find ciliary suicus externally with a canula is prevented to the pass the sutures from iris or corpus ciliare. It was decided that this technique is hardest from anterior chamber lens implantation to the eye without satisfy posterior capsular support but it can be applied an alternative application to the anterior chamber lenses.
