Clinic Findings and Prognosis in Central Serous Chorioretinopathy

We retrospectively evaluated the clinical findings and prognosis of central serous chorioretinopathy in 42 eyes of 41 cases at Çukurova University Medical Faculty Ophthalmology Department Retina Unit. The study group consisted of 33 male, 8 female with a mean age of 35,6±6,3 (20-48). Fundus fluorescein angiography revealed smokestackin 18(42,9%), (20-48). Fundus fluorescein angiography revealed smokestack in 18 (42,9%), inkblot in 13(30,7%), dotlike leakage in 11(26,2%) eyes. Mean follow up period was 15.3±2.3 (1-96) months mean Visual acuity of cases at the first examination was 0.4±0.3, whereas mean final visual acuity was 0.7±0.2, and the difference was found to be statistically significant (p<0.01). Visual acuity improved in 35(83,3%) eyes, did not change in 6(14,3%) eyes, decreased in 1 (2.,4%) eye. Recurrence occurred in 3(7,1%) eyes.
