CATARACT SURGERY IN A VITRECTOMIZED EYE: CASE PRESENTATION CHOICE OF THE TYPE OF SURGERY, TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES, POSSIBLE COMPLICATIONS AND MANAGEMENT

Surgical treatment of cataracts in vitrectomized eyes offers some special considerations and has a higher risk of complications. In the presented paper, the choice of the surgical technique to be applied in such cataracts, difficulties of the surgery, possible complications and management of complications have been discussed by means of presentation of a case who had a nucleus drop during an extracapsular cataract surgery.
