According to fundus examination, orbital ultrasonography, fluorescein angiography and orbital MR imaging findings, she was diagnosed as choroidal malign melanoma with exudative retinal detachment. The tumor size was very large (15x10x10mm) so that it was not suitable for plaque radiotherapy. As an alternative treatment to enucleation, Gamma Knife Radiosurgery (GKR) was offered to the patient. GKR is a treatment method that includes high dose radiation applied to the target tissue in a single dose. After GKR treatment in the early period the exudative detachment increased. But tumor started to get smaller starting from 9th month of treatment and became 7x10x7mm at the end of the 2nd year. GKR seems to be a good alternative treatment to enucleation for cases with large choroidal malign melanoma. Keywords : Choroidal malign melanoma treatment, gamma knife radiosurgery
