Herpetic Keratitis After Intravitreal Triamcinolone Injection

3M.D. Associate Professor, Sisli Training and Research Hospital, Eye Clinic, Istanbul/TURKEY Intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide is used for a broad spectrum of inflamatory, neovascular and edematous retinal diseases. 1 Increase in intraocular pressure,cataract formation ,retinal break,retinal detachment,intraocular hemorrhage,infectious or non-infectious endophthalmitis are the reported complications so far.1,2 We report a case of herpetic keratitis that devleoped after intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide injection.
