New Developments in Fundus Autofl uorescence

Parallel to the progress in imaging technology, some developments
are being observed in fundus autofl uorecence imaging.
Especially with wide-field imaging systems, autofl uorescence
images of peripheral retinas can be obtained and new data
can be evaluated. Also, in the evaluation of hereditary and degenerative
diseases, quantitative autofl uorescence will guide
the identification of diff erent genotypes.
