3Prof. Dr., Gazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi, Göz Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalı, Ankara - TÜRKİYE Polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV) is retinal disorder characterized by the presence of aneurysmal polypoidal lesions and an abnormal branching vascular network (BVN) seen on indocyanine green angiography (ICGA). ICGA is the best technique to differentiate PCV from other types of neovascularization, especially age related macular degeneration (AMD). PCV is relatively prevalent among Asian and Blacks. Pathogenesis of PCV is not fully understood. Clinical features of PCV are recurrent serosanguinous detachment of retinal pigment epithelium, subretinal hemorrage, subretinal exudation and serous retinal detachment. Treatment includes thermal laser photocoagulation, photodynamic therapy (PDT) with verteporfi n, anti-vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) therapy, or combined PDT and anti-VEGF therapy. In this paper, we aimed to review of current approaches to diagnosis and treatment of PCV in the current literature and our clinical experience. Keywords : Polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy, indocyanine green angiography, photodynamic therapy
