Anti-VEGF Treatments in Retİnal Diseases
Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology, Ankara/TURKEY
Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is the most important factor in ocular angiogenesis. Recently developed antiVEGF agents have revolutionized the treatment of many retinal diseases. These agents control both neovascularization and increased permeability, hence in many diseases that could end in vision loss, the visual acuity can be preserved or increased.
